With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhao Sen Yang in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chuan Cintron saved Atlético Municipal from getting behind. 44 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Willie Colon came free, but Ivan Chiuzbaian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Atlético Municipal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-.
