Bernardo España made in the 24th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Villaverde Celeste Clube's Tang Qian Xiong. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Nenko Reza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tirant lo Blanch's Kamal Pahlevi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Makaay in the 33rd minute of play.
