Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Paulo Godoi sped through Cylon's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of 林城谦. 林城谦 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Paulo Godoi made a precise shot to the right of 林城谦. Cylon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 姚广邦 kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 林城谦 came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Palestra do Interior's Paulo Godoi. But to his dismay, Paulo Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Godoi in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 林城谦 saved Cylon from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Cylon's 姚广邦 got a free kick in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Cylon's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Godoi came free, but 林城谦 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palestra do Interior's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hudson Sergipano in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, Paulo Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 林城谦 was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Paulo Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 林城谦. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. 林城谦 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Paulo Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 林城谦 was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 沈迪志 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 林城谦 came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Palestra do Interior's Paulo Godoi. But to his dismay, Paulo Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. After having played for 44 minutes, Paulo Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palestra do Interior's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Palestra do Interior were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

林城谦 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Godoi in the 51st minute of play. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when Cylon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. 姚广邦 didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Cylon's 林城谦 got control of the ball when Paulo Godoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paulo Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but 林城谦 made a huge save. 林城谦 stood somewhat misplaced when Paulo Godoi came free in front of goal and shot 0-7 to the left of him in the 62 minute. In the 69th minute Paulo Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 林城谦 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cylon's 龙钢超 got a free kick in the 70th minute. Palestra do Interior's Erruki Sotes was substituted for Ernani Velasco. A collision led to Cylon getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. 龙钢超 hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, 姚广邦 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute 沈迪志 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind 林城谦. 林城谦 yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. When the match was over Palestra do Interior could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cylon throughout the match.
