Paulo Godoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 林城谦 having to make a save. 沈迪志's late challenge caught a Palestra do Interior's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 沈迪志 helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when Cylon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. 沈迪志 didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Eugênio Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allan Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 沈迪志, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cylon's zone, Paulo Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 林城谦 came out of the goal and Paulo Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 18 played minutes Cylon got a freekick which was hit by 温枫远. Paulo Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but 林城谦 made a huge save. 汪飞文 hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Paulo Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but 林城谦 made a huge save. After 31 played minutes Paulo Godoi rounded Cylon's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. With a little luck, Cylon's 林城谦 got control of the ball when Paulo Godoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 38 minutes, 宋傲远 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cylon and the Palestra do Interior players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cylon's 庞桦景 was substituted for 庄志政. 宋傲远 hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Paulo Godoi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of 林城谦. Paulo Godoi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 林城谦 made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Paulo Godoi sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 46 in the game by Paulo Godoi from a close distance when the talented 林城谦 managed to make a qualified save. Cylon's players were relieved. 温枫远 kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Paulo Godoi made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Paulo Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 林城谦 was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 林城谦 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Godoi in the 54th minute of the match. Paulo Godoi spun around in front of the goal 57 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Cylon's goal. 林城谦 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Paulo Godoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 林城谦. Cylon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Godoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Cylon made a substitution. 龙钢超 replaced 汪飞文. Palestra do Interior's Reynaldo Sena was substituted for Percival Cruz. 69 minutes into the game, Paulo Godoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. 林城谦 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cylon's goalkeeper 林城谦, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Reynaldo Sena scored 6-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 林城谦, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th minute, Vitório Lago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 林城谦 was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. 林城谦 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitório Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Palestra do Interior walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
