Markus Fågel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flóki Cabezudo, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Stellenbosch's Flóki Cabezudo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Markus Fågel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flóki Cabezudo in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Markus Fågel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th match minute, Stellenbosch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Savini to maneuver through the defense. After 31 played minutes Stellenbosch got a freekick which was hit by Odysseas Katramados. 35 minutes into the match, Flóki Cabezudo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Markus Fågel. Polly Magoo Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flóki Cabezudo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Flóki Cabezudo might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Markus Fågel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flóki Cabezudo ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flóki Cabezudo in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Markus Fågel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 45th minute Flóki Cabezudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Fågel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Stellenbosch were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Etienne Joubert was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Stellenbosch's Severo Mingo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Markus Fågel. Markus Fågel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. The Stellenbosch fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Stellenbosch's Flóki Cabezudo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Stellenbosch made a substitution. Fidel Martxelin replaced Severo Mingo. Pedro Pelayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Bergman, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Markus Fågel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Martxelin in the 64th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Bernat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Markus Fågel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fidel Martxelin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Markus Fågel made a huge save. The Stellenbosch fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Stellenbosch's Osvaldo Bernat looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gerke Krupp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Fågel having to interfere. Markus Fågel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvaldo Bernat in the 79th minute. Stellenbosch's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mao Zhen in the 81st minute. After taking down the ball on Stellenbosch's corner Arnaldo Peter fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Markus Fågel quite easily take care of the ball. Gerke Krupp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 86 minutes on the clock, Håkan Valrot commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 85 minutes into the game, one of Polly Magoo Juniors:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 88th minute there was a penalty for Stellenbosch. Mao Zhen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Markus Fågel. 0-9. When Stellenbosch's Osvaldo Bernat in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Polly Magoo Juniors's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Polly Magoo Juniors getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Henry Jonasson hit a great ball. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Polly Magoo Juniors's goalkeeper Markus Fågel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 100th minute, Virgilio Remicio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roy Johnsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 101st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
