To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 5 minutes into the match, Fellipe Capixaba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dirch Glerum. Hønning's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fellipe Capixaba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Bolt got free with Dirch Glerum in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Bolt in the 14th minute of play forced Hønning's goalkeeper Dirch Glerum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dirch Glerum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Bolt in the 19th minute of play. Dirch Glerum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Bolt, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, John-Arne Riise managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pedrinho Paranaense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hønning's Dirch Glerum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Bolt in the 37th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Roberto Bolt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dirch Glerum, 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Betinho Beton during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 44 played minutes Hønning got a freekick which was hit by Betinho Beton. The long shot by Florian Capasso in the 45th minute really tested Dirch Glerum's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roberto Bolt to make the kick off. Pedrinho Paranaense was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 65 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalkeeper Mauro-Facundo Buffon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per Nørbjerg. 67 minutes into the game, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Florian Capasso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dirch Glerum made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Dirch Glerum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Bolt in the 74th minute of play. Hønning's Dirch Glerum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Capasso in the 77th minute of play. Pedrinho Paranaense hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Dirch Glerum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Bolt, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The audience was convinced that Florian Capasso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dirch Glerum was relentless in the 88th minute of the game.
