To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Niki Lauda struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Renan Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RIVER. Renan Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Rudolfo in the 13th minute of play. Bruno Oxarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan Varela having to interfere. RIVER's Domingo Remigio was substituted for Bruno Oxarra. Renan Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niki Lauda, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute, Eric Târban made a precise shot to the right of Renan Varela. SUPERSTAR - DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After a rather tough play, SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Adriano Sergipano got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Pipo Benedetto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RIVER fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. In the 85thth minute of the game Niki Lauda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Renan Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Renan Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pipo Benedetto in the 96th minute of the match. Renan Varela came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by RIVER's Pipo Benedetto. But to his dismay, Pipo Benedetto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. RIVER were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
