Arlo Arruta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orvar Larsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvaldo Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arlo Arruta in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elder Cardoso saved SUPERSTAR - DMZ from getting behind. After 47 minutes, Tim Van Brussel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esquirla FC and the SUPERSTAR - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SUPERSTAR - DMZ booed when Esquirla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Van Brussel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arlo Arruta to make the kick off. SUPERSTAR - DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0.
