Foot Ball Club di Roma's Alvaro Pardini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Martini in the 12th minute of play. Alvaro Pardini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ellis Hoskin, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Ellis Hoskin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Australian Youth Academy's Jarrod Mcmillan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aldo Pesce, made in the 17th minute of the game. If Garth Brough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the match, Foot Ball Club di Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Brough came free, but Alvaro Pardini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Pardini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garth Brough, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Alvaro Pardini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garth Brough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Brough in the 29th minute of play forced Foot Ball Club di Roma's goalkeeper Alvaro Pardini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvaro Pardini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garth Brough, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Garth Brough notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Foot Ball Club di Roma's Alvaro Pardini. Alvaro Pardini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Foot Ball Club di Roma's Biagio Scoca was substituted for Biagio Pallini. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 54th minute Australian Youth Academy were awarded a corner. Rufus Roach went to the cornerflag to take it. Australian Youth Academy's Rufus Roach was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alvaro Pardini in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Ceresoli in the 66th minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Keylor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Foot Ball Club di Roma's goalkeeper Alvaro Pardini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Garth Brough. Garth Brough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Pardini having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Foot Ball Club di Roma's Nicola Zalewski got a free kick in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Biagio Scoca in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Keylor Navas saved Australian Youth Academy from getting behind. Foot Ball Club di Roma were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Australian Youth Academy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nicola Zalewski took the corner. Foot Ball Club di Roma's Nicola Zalewski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Keylor Navas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Brough in the 82nd minute of play forced Foot Ball Club di Roma's goalkeeper Alvaro Pardini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvaro Pardini was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Garth Brough showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 84 minute of play. Foot Ball Club di Roma's Alvaro Pardini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Brough in the 87th minute of play. Foot Ball Club di Roma's Alberigo Villa was substituted for Niccolo Zaniolo. After 89 minutes Foot Ball Club di Roma's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rufus Roach who took care of the corner kick. 94 minutes into the game, Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvaro Pardini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Australian Youth Academy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
