Daniel Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poetass FC's goalkeeper José Maria Goiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Witalis Brysz was the one to do the kick off. In the 83rdth minute of the game Daniel Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poetass FC's José Maria Goiano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The throw-in from Cleiton Carioca in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Capibaribe Stars's Atalay Turkay. In the 85th minute, Daniel Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capibaribe Stars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Jarl Rossebø fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maria Goiano having to interfere. The Poetass FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Capibaribe Stars's performance. The match ended with a win for Capibaribe Stars.
