In the 6th minute, Capibaribe Stars's Daniel Sousa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Keylor Navas. Keylor Navas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 11 minutes Australian Youth Academy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wilton Fontes who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Capibaribe Stars's corner Daniel Sousa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Keylor Navas quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Garth Brough in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomás Toscano saved Capibaribe Stars from getting behind. In the 14th minute Australian Youth Academy were awarded a corner. Rufus Roach went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 18th minute, Daniel Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capibaribe Stars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After some careless play in the Australian Youth Academy defense, Daniel Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Keylor Navas. The Australian Youth Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keylor Navas should have stopped the shot. Keylor Navas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Jarrod Mcmillan hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Keylor Navas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Keylor Navas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute of the game Jarrod Mcmillan made a throw-in which Gabriel Martini played forward. In the 37th match minute, Australian Youth Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarrod Mcmillan to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Sousa in the 38th minute of play. Keylor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Sousa in the 44th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Daniel Sousa made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fletcher Baba in the 54th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Thomás Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keylor Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarrod Mcmillan hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Jarrod Mcmillan in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Capibaribe Stars's Hicham Al Azka. Daniel Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 68th minute Daniel Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keylor Navas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Sousa went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fletcher Baba in the 73rd minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Thomás Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keylor Navas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Sousa's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Daniel Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Keylor Navas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Thomás Toscano made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Ellis Hoskin sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Fletcher Baba got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 89 minutes into the game, Jarrod Mcmillan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Australian Youth Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capibaribe Stars the free kick. Jarrod Mcmillan kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Hicham Al Azka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd match minute, Capibaribe Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lothar Matthäus to maneuver through the defense.
