The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viriato Leal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th match minute, Sporting Clube Patrício was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurentino Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Daniel Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Lothar Matthäus. Sporting Clube Patrício's Viriato Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Sousa in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Daniel Sousa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Viriato Leal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 21st minute, Daniel Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capibaribe Stars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 24 minutes into the game, Capibaribe Stars's Daniel Sousa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Viriato Leal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Sporting Clube Patrício's Viriato Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Sousa in the 28th minute of play. Daniel Sousa took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viriato Leal. Viriato Leal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. 37 minutes into the game, Daniel Sousa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Viriato Leal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Sporting Clube Patrício defense, Daniel Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viriato Leal. The Sporting Clube Patrício fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viriato Leal should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Clube Patrício's zone, Daniel Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viriato Leal came out of the goal and Daniel Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nike 武磊 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Sousa to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Daniel Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Clube Patrício's Viriato Leal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Viriato Leal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Sousa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 52 minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's Daniel Sousa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Viriato Leal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Julião Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Daniel Sousa made a precise shot to the right of Viriato Leal. Sporting Clube Patrício's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-10. Daniel Sousa got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 0-11 in the right cross in the 62nd match minute before Viriato Leal had time to react. When Capibaribe Stars's Daniel Sousa in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sporting Clube Patrício's goalie prevented a goal. Daniel Sousa took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viriato Leal. Viriato Leal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-12. If Daniel Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Viriato Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viriato Leal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Sousa in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Daniel Sousa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-14. Viriato Leal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Viriato Leal was a little too slow when Daniel Sousa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-15. When the match was over Capibaribe Stars could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sporting Clube Patrício throughout the match.
