The tension between the Los Colegas del Barrio and the AIF players grew even worse after the yellow card. 9 minutes into the game, one of Los Colegas del Barrio:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Los Colegas del Barrio:s Paulo Victor showed great skill when he stopped Erik Odin:s penalty. After a rather tough play, Los Colegas del Barrio's Eutropio Harroyo got a free kick in the 18th minute. Paulo Victor made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Erik Odin sent off a good shot on target. Garry Mason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jarl Andreasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, AIF's Mark Forsberg got a free kick in the 24th minute. Erik Odin succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Sandström in the 32nd minute of play forced Los Colegas del Barrio's goalkeeper Paulo Victor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garry Mason in the 34th minute of play forced AIF's goalkeeper Jarl Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarl Andreasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garry Mason in the 38th minute of the match. Bianco Tacco hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When Garry Mason came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Los Colegas del Barrio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garry Mason couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Los Colegas del Barrio's zone, Alfred Sandström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Victor came out of the goal and Alfred Sandström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Garry Mason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfred Sandström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garry Mason in the 54th minute of play forced AIF's goalkeeper Jarl Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfred Sandström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Victor having to interfere. Paulo Victor came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by AIF's Alfred Sandström. But to his dismay, Alfred Sandström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 62 minutes into the game, Olaf Iniesta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Colegas del Barrio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AIF the free kick. In the 62nd minute, Olaf Iniesta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Los Colegas del Barrio made a substitution. Antonio Canal replaced Eutropio Harroyo. Los Colegas del Barrio's Bitxintxo Etxeberria was substituted for Olaf Iniesta. 65 minutes into the match, AIF's Ulf Ekström broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When AIF's Alfred Sandström in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of AIF booed when Los Colegas del Barrio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Canal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Victor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Odin in the 74th minute of the match. Paulo Victor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Odin, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, AIF's Mark Forsberg got a free kick in the 78th minute. Paulo Victor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Odin in the 81st minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Garry Mason managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Colegas del Barrio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garry Mason was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 96 in the game by Garry Mason from a close distance when the talented Jarl Andreasson managed to make a qualified save. AIF's players were relieved. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AIF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Los Colegas del Barrio had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
