The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Paralia Athens getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Agostinho Moura hit a great ball. A hard shot 6 in the game by Marciano Min from a close distance when the talented Virgil Olariu managed to make a qualified save. Paralia Athens's players were relieved. 9 minutes into the match, Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Virgil Olariu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marciano Min. Leonard Chirculescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Napoleon Dziedelonis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Marciano Min struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Virgil Olariu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zuberbühler FC. After a rather tough play, Paralia Athens's Agostinho Moura got a free kick in the 15th minute. Cirilo Ebardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Virgil Olariu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Paralia Athens's Virgil Olariu got control of the ball when Marciano Min tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 22 minutes Paralia Athens's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Saul Baumer who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Tiberiu Fința managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Virgil Olariu was a little too slow when Marciano Min got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-0. With a little luck, Paralia Athens's Virgil Olariu got control of the ball when Marciano Min tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zuberbühler FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Saul Baumer in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marciano Min got free with Virgil Olariu in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marciano Min could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Virgil Olariu made a huge save. In the 37th minute, Zuberbühler FC's Marciano Min ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Virgil Olariu. Virgil Olariu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 42nd minute Marciano Min shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Olariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The supporters of Zuberbühler FC booed when Paralia Athens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Unai Herrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Marciano Min's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgil Olariu was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Paralia Athens's Virgil Olariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Min in the 56th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Zuberbühler FC's Marciano Min nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Virgil Olariu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Zuberbühler FC's Saul Lamberto was substituted for Mariano Berart. Virgil Olariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Baumer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgil Olariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Baumer, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Jonathan Iruinea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unai Herrera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Napoleon Dziedelonis made a huge save. In the 76th minute Florentino Lastur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Olariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Paralia Athens defense, Saul Baumer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgil Olariu. The Paralia Athens fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgil Olariu should have stopped the shot. 80 minutes into the game, Costel Neagoe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paralia Athens's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zuberbühler FC the free kick. Paralia Athens's Virgil Olariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Baumer in the 81st minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Saul Baumer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virgil Olariu. Paralia Athens's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saul Baumer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After 83 played minutes Zuberbühler FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Loramendi. Virgil Olariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Baumer, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 90th minute, Florentino Lastur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgil Olariu was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Virgil Olariu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Iruinea in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Zuberbühler FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
