When Hertha 1969's Wilhelm Nienhaus in 7 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Napoleon Dziedelonis guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Min in the 9th minute of play. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marciano Min in the 9th minute of play. Kristian Oswald could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Napoleon Dziedelonis made a huge save. In the 14th minute, Marciano Min ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rune Jarstein was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Zuberbühler FC's Venancio Calisto got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute Hertha 1969 were awarded a corner. Moritz Hasenjäger went to the cornerflag to take it. If Saul Lamberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Napoleon Dziedelonis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Elenescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marciano Min's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rune Jarstein read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Zuberbühler FC's zone, Kristian Oswald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Napoleon Dziedelonis came out of the goal and Kristian Oswald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Gigel Elenescu took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Napoleon Dziedelonis to make any attempt to save it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
