Eneid Ilo started the match with the kick off. Rigoberto Bastiaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Drini Kapaj. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rigoberto Bastiaro ran back to his position shaking his head. Drini Kapaj made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rigoberto Bastiaro in the 3rd minute. Rigoberto Bastiaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Drini Kapaj. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rigoberto Bastiaro ran back to his position shaking his head. Rigoberto Bastiaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vlash Xhaferri hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mali i Thatë FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jacindo Baezabal was slow to take the kick. During this time Glorioso Deportivo Cali's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Glorioso Deportivo Cali booed when Mali i Thatë FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pajtim Tepelena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Drini Kapaj came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Rigoberto Bastiaro. But to his dismay, Rigoberto Bastiaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 17 minutes into the game, Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Rigoberto Bastiaro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Drini Kapaj made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Rigoberto Bastiaro charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rigoberto Bastiaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes Glorioso Deportivo Cali got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Bastiaro. After a defensive mix-up in Mali i Thatë FC's zone, John Stones stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drini Kapaj came out of the goal and John Stones tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Drini Kapaj made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Rigoberto Bastiaro sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Drini Kapaj managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Rigoberto Bastiaro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 29th minute, Rigoberto Bastiaro made a precise shot to the right of Drini Kapaj. Mali i Thatë FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Mali i Thatë FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Glorioso Deportivo Cali:s goal. Mali i Thatë FC:s Drini Kapaj showed great skill when he stopped Jacindo Baezabal:s penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacindo Baezabal got free with Drini Kapaj in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rigoberto Bastiaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Drini Kapaj. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rigoberto Bastiaro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th minute Rigoberto Bastiaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drini Kapaj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demirel Arbnori's late challenge caught a Glorioso Deportivo Cali's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Demirel Arbnori helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, Mali i Thatë FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demirel Arbnori to maneuver through the defense. Mali i Thatë FC's Drini Kapaj proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Mali i Thatë FC from getting a goal against them. If Lirim Osja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vlash Xhaferri kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Drini Kapaj acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jacindo Baezabal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rigoberto Bastiaro to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Rigoberto Bastiaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Drini Kapaj was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. If Rigoberto Bastiaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Drini Kapaj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Bastiaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rigoberto Bastiaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Drini Kapaj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Bastiaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute, Rigoberto Bastiaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Drini Kapaj was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 72nd minute, Pajtim Tepelena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Bastiaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Drini Kapaj was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute, Rigoberto Bastiaro made a precise shot to the right of Drini Kapaj. Mali i Thatë FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. In the 80th minute, Elion Fazliu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adam Kos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Drini Kapaj. Mali i Thatë FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rigoberto Bastiaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drini Kapaj having to interfere. Drini Kapaj came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Rigoberto Bastiaro. But to his dismay, Rigoberto Bastiaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Glorioso Deportivo Cali fully deserved thier win.
