Lu Xun Lei was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Braga's players had a chance to rest. In the 22nd minute Serge Frankena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laçın Cumayev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 23rd minute of play. Laçın Cumayev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Caiola in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Pipis Dilberis hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Mattsson came free, but Ralph Roeles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emiliano Caiola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Laçın Cumayev made a huge save. 33 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Mattsson came free, but Ralph Roeles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute André Jordão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralph Roeles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Stig-Åke Mattsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ralph Roeles. In the 46th minute Antonio Cieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralph Roeles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quintino Carvalhais scored 0-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ralph Roeles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stig-Åke Mattsson made a kick off. Laçın Cumayev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Caiola in the 54th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Emiliano Caiola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laçın Cumayev was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Laçın Cumayev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zebastian Bergfeldt in the 61st minute of the match. In the 64th minute Emiliano Caiola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laçın Cumayev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite this Laçın Cumayev quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ralph Roeles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 87th minute of play. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Julias Rascals Apeldoorn from getting a goal against them. Laçın Cumayev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt van der Laan in the 90th minute of play. Stig-Åke Mattsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ralph Roeles came out and tried to block the shot, but Stig-Åke Mattsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 95th minute. SC Braga's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
