The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Turi in the 2nd minute of play. After 4 played minutes LA MAQUINA F.C got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Savion. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Loco Borja sped through Squadra Demarchi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oscar Saldanha. Oscar Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Berti in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Squadra Demarchi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Castro to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Squadra Demarchi defense, Loco Borja kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Saldanha. The Squadra Demarchi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Saldanha should have stopped the shot. If Loco Borja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the game, Sérgio Berti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Oscar Saldanha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When LA MAQUINA F.C's Rigoberto Turi in 37 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Oscar Saldanha guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 38 minutes of play, LA MAQUINA F.C's Rigoberto Turi made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oscar Saldanha was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kléber Queirós hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Borja in the 44th minute of play forced Squadra Demarchi's goalkeeper Oscar Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rigoberto Turi to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Squadra Demarchi's Ciro Castro got a free kick in the 50th minute. LA MAQUINA F.C's Carlos Alberto Pernambucano got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 56 in the game by Valentin Makovskiy from a close distance when the talented Oscar Saldanha managed to make a qualified save. Squadra Demarchi's players were relieved. Oscar Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Berti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Loco Borja managed to get in a good position for a shot. LA MAQUINA F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Loco Borja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Saldanha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute, Bohuslav Plachetka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Loco Borja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Oscar Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Loco Borja cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Oscar Saldanha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oscar Saldanha came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by LA MAQUINA F.C's Carlos Alberto Pernambucano. But to his dismay, Carlos Alberto Pernambucano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. After 94 played minutes Squadra Demarchi got a freekick which was hit by Richard Moura. LA MAQUINA F.C's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
