Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmund Vaik to make the kick off. In the 85thth minute of the game Dario Alegría who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Halcon Sport 69's Zachary Zacharzewski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Halcon Sport 69's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Elias Figueroa was slow to take the kick. During this time AVAÍ F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. AVAÍ F.C.'s Elias Figueroa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zachary Zacharzewski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
