Rui Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Galeno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Águilas Poblanas's Jacinto Galeno in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlético Zelaya's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Atlético Zelaya's Ricardo Iraunkor got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute Jacinto Galeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacobo Abechuco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandros Ismael read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Zelaya's goalkeeper Rui Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jacinto Galeno scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rui Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's Jacinto Galeno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rui Santos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Águilas Poblanas's Eusebio Beltran was substituted for Jacinto Galeno. In the 35th minute, Niklas Pedersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Macias hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eusebio Beltran to make the kick off. Alexandros Ismael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Gitano in the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobo Abechuco in the 53rd minute of play forced Águilas Poblanas's goalkeeper Alexandros Ismael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Zelaya's goalkeeper Rui Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 58 minutes into the game, Eusebio Beltran recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rui Santos. Eusebio Beltran showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 62nd minute, Eusebio Beltran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Santos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Águilas Poblanas made a substitution. Iker Urti replaced Ciro Matai. After taking down the ball on Atlético Zelaya's corner Alonzo Sal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alexandros Ismael quite easily take care of the ball. Eusebio Beltran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Rui Santos made a huge save. Eusebio Beltran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rui Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Águilas Poblanas's Eusebio Beltran dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Alexandros Ismael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Sal in the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Águilas Poblanas left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Atlético Zelaya.
