The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celedonio Eguen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, MONTANHA's Dinei Montenegro got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 32 minutes MONTANHA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anselmo Jenaro who took care of the corner kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Egoitz in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andres van der Sar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. MONTANHA were furious when Roger Guerra was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 45 minutes into the game, one of MONTANHA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Matheu City FCs' Andres van der Sar made a terrific save as he just managed to stop Anselmo Jenaros penalty just before it crossed the line at his left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MONTANHA reached it. After a rather tough play, MONTANHA's Benedito Trancoso got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The audience was convinced that Robinho Salgado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andres van der Sar was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. MONTANHA's Andres van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Serafo in the 88th minute of play. Matheu City FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
