An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredinho Veloso in the 20th minute of play forced A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper Alvaro Rotili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match, Cristiano Paolucci got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aybars Cihannur was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Alvaro Rotili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aybars Cihannur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Zoccali, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The supporters of A.S. Udinese booed when RÖK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. A.S. Udinese's Alessio Zoccali got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

A.S. Udinese made a substitution. Tom Pervik replaced Bruno Maranzano. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Chucho to make the kick off. David Chucho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Alvaro Rotili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alessio Zoccali in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aybars Cihannur prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind RÖK's goalkeeper Aybars Cihannur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, A.S. Udinese's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredinho Veloso came free, but Alvaro Rotili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, RÖK's Tjark Heerdt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In the 83rdth minute of the game Alessio Zoccali who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RÖK's Aybars Cihannur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Tjark Heerdt came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the RÖK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tjark Heerdt couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, RÖK's Tjark Heerdt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. In the 90th match minute, A.S. Udinese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Pervik to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, A.S. Udinese's Fortunato Angelucci got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Pejman Zahedi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RÖK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pejman Zahedi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Tjark Heerdt took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Alvaro Rotili to make any attempt to save it. RÖK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
