With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petru Nisporeanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Randers A.F.C.'s Rene Rostholm got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shao Fan charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shao Fan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd minute, Txanton Balbanea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Deportivo Peñarol FIFV getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. After 47 minutes of play, Randers A.F.C.'s Nik Frisendal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petru Nisporeanu was left in no man's land by his defense there!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Örjan Forssell made a kick off. Randers A.F.C. made a substitution. Rodrigo Tome replaced Benjamin Vollmaris. The corner ended in Børge Buhr almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Petru Nisporeanu did a great save.
