Petru Nisporeanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Altay Bayındır showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Örjan Forssell, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Örjan Forssell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Altay Bayındır saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Deportivo Peñarol FIFV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petru Nisporeanu should have stopped the shot. After 95 played minutes Deportivo Peñarol FIFV got a freekick which was hit by Txanton Balbanea. For all the effort they put into the match, the Deportivo Peñarol FIFV players left disappointed.
