Fausto da Rocha came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by GEOMATİC FK's Fevzi Turhan. But to his dismay, Fevzi Turhan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A collision led to AFC - Curitiba getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Birger Rochat during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Birger Rochat hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.
