Spectators: 195 (Terracing: 147, Seating: 45, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alvaro Raymond took the kick off in the first half of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Alvaro Raymond recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martin Crețu. Alvaro Raymond showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Fernando Selatse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Okan Koc's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Alvaro Raymond managed to get in a good position for a shot. Despidida AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvaro Raymond was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Crețu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Panait in the 16th minute of play. If Alvaro Raymond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alvaro Raymond's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Martin Crețu firmly grabbed it by the left post. 23 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Panait came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Martin Crețu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aurel Panait scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Selatse, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Ming Sheng in the 37th minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Martin Crețu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Aurel Panait hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Okan Koc to make the kick off. The supporters of Despidida AFC booed when Stiinta-Univ. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viteazul Flore didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute of the match Stiinta-Univ. got a corner. Despidida AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benjamim Urbano ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Benjamim Urbano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse did a great save. Aurel Panait fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Selatse having to interfere. Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco was substituted for Alvaro Raymond. Despidida AFC's Pastor Tino was substituted for Kajetan Gdowik. Martin Crețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Velasco in the 66th minute of play. Benjamim Urbano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Selatse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Ming Sheng in the 73rd minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dinu Ivănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Lucila was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 89th minute Emiliano Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Crețu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Despidida AFC's Dinu Ivănescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Crețu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Many of Stiinta-Univ.'s supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Stiinta-Univ. may have spent more time on the ball, but Despidida AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
