Artur Rode made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Marinho in the 8th minute of play. Igor Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. After 53 played minutes Purple Shadows got a freekick which was hit by Witomir Smolarek. 54 minutes into the match, Purple Shadows's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Porto came free, but Artur Rode reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Osmar Marinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artur Rode. Purple Shadows's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osmar Marinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. If Igor Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd play minute Osmar Marinho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Artur Rode. 0-8. Purple Shadows's Artur Rode proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Purple Shadows from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute, Osmar Marinho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Artur Rode. The goal made the score 0-9. Luiz Eduardo Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gorom Kanø in the 72nd minute of the match. Purple Shadows's supporters rose to their feet, but Gorom Kanø was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Eduardo Galvão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernesto Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aesir FC FSCMZ's Dalmo de Brito suffered a sore foot after 92 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Aesir FC FSCMZ's Denílson Cunha was substituted for Dalmo de Brito.
