In the 4th minute Dalmo de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aesir FC FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Barrenta SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlos Eduardo Veiga took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Barrenta SC's goalie and right to Manoel de Amorim. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Barrenta SC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Luiz Eduardo Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nariman Mansourian in the 10th minute of play. Luiz Eduardo Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Tastzian in the 11th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Aesir FC FSCMZ defense, Urban Stenman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Eduardo Galvão. The Aesir FC FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Eduardo Galvão should have stopped the shot. In the 17thth minute of the game Agustín Tastzian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aesir FC FSCMZ's Luiz Eduardo Galvão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustín Tastzian in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Eduardo Galvão saved Aesir FC FSCMZ from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Porto in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgar Trigo saved Barrenta SC from getting behind. Dalmo de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Edgar Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manoel de Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute of the match Aesir FC FSCMZ got a corner. Barrenta SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlos Eduardo Veiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Carlos Eduardo Veiga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edgar Trigo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Barrenta SC's Edgar Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Porto in the 35th minute of play. Aesir FC FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Barrenta SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlos Eduardo Veiga took the corner. If Igor Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barrenta SC's Edgar Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Porto in the 42nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Osmar Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aesir FC FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Osmar Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Eduardo Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Tastzian, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Barrenta SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Porto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Barrenta SC made a substitution. Genílson Leite replaced Urban Stenman. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aesir FC FSCMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Agustín Tastzian was slow to take the kick. During this time Barrenta SC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Barrenta SC's corner Agustín Tastzian fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luiz Eduardo Galvão quite easily take care of the ball. Luiz Eduardo Galvão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nariman Mansourian's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Aesir FC FSCMZ were furious when Elivélton Jacinto was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 67 minutes into the game, one of Aesir FC FSCMZ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Aesir FC FSCMZ:s Luiz Eduardo Galvão showed great skill when he stopped Agustín Tastzian:s penalty. Luiz Eduardo Galvão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fellipe Lago's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Aesir FC FSCMZ's Osmar Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Eduardo Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Tastzian in the 90th minute of play. If Nariman Mansourian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Berger in the 97th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Berger in the 98th minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Edgar Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrenta SC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
