Andrei Oloieru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ke Xiang, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The supporters of El ultimo booed when Fotbal Club Vaslui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihnea Stanca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrei Oloieru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Ignatius in the 23rd minute of play. In the 46th minute Ramon Ignatius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Oloieru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Traian Traian to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Traian Traian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladimiro Socorro was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Teo Cordero hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute of the match Javier Montes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vladimiro Socorro skillfully saved the ball. Fotbal Club Vaslui were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after El ultimo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Javier Montes took the corner. After a rather tough play, Fotbal Club Vaslui's Wellington Neves got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, Maurinho Maranhense made a precise shot to the right of Vladimiro Socorro. El ultimo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Eliseo Bernabel hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
