The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erland Sagbakken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Fredriksson in the 2nd minute of play. In the 8th match minute, FC Bullen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Pååk to maneuver through the defense. After 16 played minutes FC Bullen got a freekick which was hit by Roland Topp. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Richard Fredriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Bullen's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Fredriksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erland Sagbakken breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes into the match, FC Bullen's Kurt Pååk broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Tomas Michael fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Saladillo FC's protests and gave Tomas Michael a yellow card for diving instead. Tomas Michael hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Gabriel Corderro took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toni Schumacher. Toni Schumacher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Alejandro Ceandro kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute of the game Tomas Michael made a throw-in which Gogo Astigar played forward. Tomas Michael made in the 38th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gogo Astigar. Richard Fredriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Richard Fredriksson to make the kick off. FC Bullen's Toni Schumacher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Corderro in the 54th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, FC Bullen's Richard Fredriksson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erland Sagbakken made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 62nd minute Richard Fredriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erland Sagbakken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute FC Bullen were awarded a corner. Kurt Pååk went to the cornerflag to take it. If Richard Fredriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philip Drake in the 82nd minute of play forced Atletico Saladillo FC's goalkeeper Erland Sagbakken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prospero Hug got free with Toni Schumacher in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Atletico Saladillo FC made a substitution. Hector Ferrer replaced Gabriel Corderro. Atletico Saladillo FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Prospero Hug in the 88th minute. 93 minutes into the game, FC Bullen's Philip Drake nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erland Sagbakken made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Atletico Saladillo FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
