In the 8th minute Domenik Hoffhuis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Åke Brummer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lanzenkirchen's Karl-Åke Brummer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olaf Degens in the 9th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Roque Claus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lanzenkirchen's supporters rose to their feet, but Roque Claus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Oldenborger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as MK Investments's Sebastiaan Middeljans slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Karl-Åke Brummer. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 50th match minute, MK Investments was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Rensenbrink to maneuver through the defense. Lanzenkirchen's Roque Claus saw an opening behind the goalie Peter Oldenborger in the 51stth minute and tried to shoot past into the top right corner, but with great reflexes Peter Oldenborger with one arm managed to save the shot in the last secound. Peter Oldenborger was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Roque Claus capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roque Claus really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Peter Oldenborger made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Roque Claus sent off a good shot on target. Domenik Hoffhuis kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. With a little luck, MK Investments's Peter Oldenborger got control of the ball when Roque Claus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lucjan Bejger took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Oldenborger. Peter Oldenborger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 67th match minute, Lanzenkirchen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucjan Bejger to maneuver through the defense. Peter Oldenborger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Claus, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Jimmie Cai hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 92 minutes of play, Lanzenkirchen's Roque Claus made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Oldenborger was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Lanzenkirchen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lanzenkirchen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
