Jorginho Vaz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Décio Messias. Holger Zachrisson hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 71st match minute, Portuguesa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldair Weidt to maneuver through the defense. Jorginho Vaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oséias Gerber in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Décio Messias in the 76th minute of play forced Portuguesa's goalkeeper Jorginho Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute of the match Sipo EC got a corner. Portuguesa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Décio Messias ran over to the corner to take the kick. Filip Bykowski kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The supporters of Portuguesa booed when Sipo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 89th minute, Miguel de Sena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carroll Hathaway was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Miguel de Sena's late challenge caught a Sipo EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel de Sena helped the player get up and apologised. Jorginho Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sipo EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Portuguesa.
