A throw-in in the 27th minute of the game was made by Américo Marinho with Valdir Arósio as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 32nd minute, Christian Burgo made a precise shot to the right of Carroll Hathaway. Sipo EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Christian Burgo made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sipo EC's goalkeeper Carroll Hathaway, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, Kwyjibo's Christian Burgo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carroll Hathaway narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mathias Jakobsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carroll Hathaway having to interfere. Christian Burgo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carroll Hathaway having to make a save. 60 minutes into the game, Silvano Mohamed threw the ball into play from the sideline. Kwyjibo's Etxepare Angostina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A collision led to Sipo EC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Américo Marinho hit a great ball. Carroll Hathaway made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven McNamara in the 67th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Kwyjibo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Jakobsson to maneuver through the defense. Sylwester Wawro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Burgo in the 78th minute of play forced Sipo EC's goalkeeper Carroll Hathaway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kwyjibo's attentive Etxepare Angostina managed to snatch the ball when Silvano Mohamed made a throw-in in the 79th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oséias Gerber got free with Sylwester Wawro in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Christian Burgo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the game, Christian Burgo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Carroll Hathaway was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 91 minutes into the match, Christian Burgo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carroll Hathaway. Sipo EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Burgo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0.
