Teodoro Peio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrão Pereira in the 9th minute of the match. Flávio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flávio de Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Carlos Alberto Azevedo sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th match minute, Landulfos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio Adam to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrea Napoleone in the 18th minute of play forced Atlético Nacional's goalkeeper Teodoro Peio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Carlos Alberto Azevedo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Flávio de Azevedo to make any attempt to save it. After 30 played minutes Atlético Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Sasoin. Pedrão Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vicente Sasoin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Flávio de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Pedrão Pereira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Atlético Nacional's Teodoro Peio. Teodoro Peio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Atlético Nacional's Carlos Alberto Azevedo in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The corner led Atlético Nacional's Primitivo Mendez to fire away a dangerous shot which Flávio de Azevedo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Flávio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto Azevedo in the 41st minute of the match. Teodoro Peio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrão Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Andrea Napoleone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodoro Peio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Landulfos FC made a substitution. Naldo da Silveira replaced Tiaguinho Alagoano. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedrão Pereira was the one to do the kick off. Délio Adam kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Teodoro Peio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo de Godoi in the 57th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedrão Pereira in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro Peio saved Atlético Nacional from getting behind. Landulfos FC's Emílio Maciel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Teodoro Peio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 62 minutes of play, Atlético Nacional's Carlos Alberto Azevedo made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flávio de Azevedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 71 minutes into the match, Andrea Napoleone notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Atlético Nacional's Teodoro Peio. Teodoro Peio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 80 played minutes Atlético Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Azevedo. 83 minutes into the match, Atlético Nacional's goalkeeper Teodoro Peio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedrão Pereira. A hard shot by Naldo da Silveira from long distance, 89 minutes into the match, got Teodoro Peio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 94th minute Andrea Napoleone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Peio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 minutes Atlético Nacional's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emílio Maciel who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Landulfos FC's Emílio Maciel to fire away a dangerous shot which Teodoro Peio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Landulfos FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
