A well-hit corner resulted in Cornelio Rius heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 13 minutes into the match, Ruperto Modestio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Atlético Nacional's Teodoro Peio. Teodoro Peio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ruperto Modestio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodoro Peio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Teodoro Peio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valerio Spadoni in the 18th minute of play. Teodoro Peio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Modestio in the 25th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Mario Alberto Abascal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Amboy FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Nacional the free kick. The supporters of Atlético Nacional booed when Amboy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Alberto Abascal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Amboy FC were awarded a corner. Wang Hai went to the cornerflag to take it. Ariel Mourelatos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Sasoin in the 32nd minute of the match. Ariel Mourelatos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute of the match Atlético Nacional got a corner. Amboy FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Primitivo Mendez ran over to the corner to take the kick. Atlético Nacional's Primitivo Mendez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ariel Mourelatos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 37th minute Ruperto Modestio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Peio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Vicente Sasoin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ariel Mourelatos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Teodoro Peio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruperto Modestio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes Atlético Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Karmel.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valerio Spadoni to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Atlético Nacional's Carlos Alberto Azevedo made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ariel Mourelatos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amboy FC's Black Dragon was substituted for Valerio Spadoni. In the 64th minute, Amboy FC's Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Atlético Nacional's Teodoro Peio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Nacional from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Atlético Nacional's Primitivo Mendez got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Mario Alberto Abascal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodoro Peio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán in the 74th minute. After having played for 76 minutes, Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amboy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teodoro Peio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán in the 82nd minute. Bruce Cornforth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Teodoro Peio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mario Alberto Abascal scored 2-4 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodoro Peio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Amboy FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlético Nacional throughout the match.
