The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game was made by Karmo Vene with Thalis Papazisis as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thalis Papazisis in the 7th minute of play. Horacio Jesus Carvallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loco Durazno in the 9th minute of the match. Horacio Jesus Carvallo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Durazno, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Karmo Vene was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baez FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden Lions FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Baez FC's Karmo Vene got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Ni Zhen Feng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ni Zhen Feng could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Anders Lundqvist made a huge save. Horacio Jesus Carvallo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loco Durazno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Golden Lions FC's Loco Durazno managed to work through Baez FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Loco Durazno dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Horacio Jesus Carvallo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Loco Durazno's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 37 minutes into the match, Loco Durazno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horacio Jesus Carvallo. Baez FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Loco Durazno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 46 minutes into the match, Arne Tönnberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horacio Jesus Carvallo. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thalis Papazisis to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Loco Durazno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden Lions FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loco Durazno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Durazno in the 60th minute of play forced Baez FC's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Carvallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Loco Durazno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 played minutes Baez FC got a freekick which was hit by Karmo Vene. After 68 minutes of play, Golden Lions FC's Loco Durazno made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horacio Jesus Carvallo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anders Lundqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ni Zhen Feng in the 73rd minute of the match. Loco Durazno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horacio Jesus Carvallo having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Durazno in the 77th minute of play forced Baez FC's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Carvallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baez FC's Horacio Jesus Carvallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loco Durazno in the 80th minute of play. Loco Durazno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Horacio Jesus Carvallo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baez FC's Horacio Jesus Carvallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burç Tokhan in the 86th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosme Larpe got free with Horacio Jesus Carvallo in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Horacio Jesus Carvallo came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Lions FC's Burç Tokhan. But to his dismay, Burç Tokhan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The Baez FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Golden Lions FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Golden Lions FC.
