Erwin Gay hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ψ virgen Ψ's zone, Seth Luke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Birila came out of the goal and Seth Luke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erwin Gay got free with Jonas Birila in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute Varennes were awarded a corner. Théophile Berger went to the cornerflag to take it. Varennes's Théophile Berger was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonas Birila in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 42ndth minute of the game Pablo Sayvion who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varennes's Gilberto Boone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ψ virgen Ψ's Jonas Birila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwin Gay in the 44th minute of play. Maurice Odonnell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jonas Birila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Quincy Loyd was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Blas Gaizkine kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Varennes had played much better football throughout.
