After some careless play in the Varennes defense, 唐沙旭 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilberto Boone. The Varennes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilberto Boone should have stopped the shot. Gilberto Boone came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Diablos Rojos's 唐沙旭. But to his dismay, 唐沙旭 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Gilberto Boone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 唐沙旭's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Ulrik Sillén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Diablos Rojos's 唐沙旭 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto Boone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute of the game Donovan Nash made a throw-in which Wendell Petit played forward. Diablos Rojos's Remus Pinches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurice Odonnell in the 33rd minute of play. 唐沙旭 struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Gilberto Boone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diablos Rojos. Diablos Rojos's Jerome Boateng quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Donovan Nash, made in the 37th minute of the game. In the 38th minute, 唐沙旭 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilberto Boone was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Daniel Dominguez charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Dominguez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 45 minutes into the match, Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Remus Pinches had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Seth Luke. Diablos Rojos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Bernardo Goudreau scored to the left of an out of position Remus Pinches, making the score, 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maurice Odonnell to make the kick off. 唐沙旭 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Boone having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 唐沙旭. Gilberto Boone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 唐沙旭 in the 63rd minute of play. Varennes's Hong Mosher was substituted for Ward Houde. Varennes's Titus Pineda was substituted for Bernardo Goudreau. Diablos Rojos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Odonnell in the 69th minute of play forced Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Remus Pinches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 唐沙旭 scored 1-4 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilberto Boone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Remus Pinches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurice Odonnell in the 92nd minute of play. The Diablos Rojos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
