After a defensive mix-up in Ψ virgen Ψ's zone, Wendell Petit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Birila came out of the goal and Wendell Petit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Odonnell in the 5th minute of play forced Ψ virgen Ψ's goalkeeper Jonas Birila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute of the match Varennes got a corner. Ψ virgen Ψ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Théophile Berger ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Seth Luke in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Birila saved Ψ virgen Ψ from getting behind. 14 minutes into the match, Maurice Odonnell notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ψ virgen Ψ's Jonas Birila. Jonas Birila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute Erwin Gay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Birila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Donovan Nash was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varennes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ψ virgen Ψ the free kick. Donovan Nash kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Jonas Birila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurice Odonnell in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Maurice Odonnell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Birila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ψ virgen Ψ's Abelardo Pes got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Odonnell in the 29th minute of play forced Ψ virgen Ψ's goalkeeper Jonas Birila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Victorino Diaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ψ virgen Ψ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorino Diaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 0-2 became the score in the 38th minute when Bernardo Goudreau elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 41st minute Maurice Odonnell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Birila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ψ virgen Ψ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Varennes were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurice Odonnell made a kick off. Jonas Birila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurice Odonnell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Victorino Diaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilberto Boone was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. The tension between the Ψ virgen Ψ and the Varennes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jonas Birila didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maurice Odonnell went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Seth Luke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jonas Birila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Titus Pineda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonas Birila. That made the score 0-7 in the 92 minute of play. Varennes's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
