But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 唐沙旭 couldn't finish the play. 唐沙旭's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Boone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Diablos Rojos were awarded a corner. Thomás Vollmar went to the cornerflag to take it. Remus Pinches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erwin Gay, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Varennes's Gilberto Boone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomás Vollmar in the 23rd minute of play. Gilberto Boone didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 唐沙旭 went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Varennes's Gilberto Boone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 唐沙旭 in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Diablos Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Maurice Odonnell came free, but Remus Pinches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Bernardo Goudreau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remus Pinches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulrik Sillén hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Maurice Odonnell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remus Pinches read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Remus Pinches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erwin Gay in the 36th minute of play. Gilberto Boone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 唐沙旭 in the 37th minute of play. After 38 minutes Varennes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thomás Vollmar who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Rene Sampedro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gilberto Boone quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 42 minutes of play, Diablos Rojos's 唐沙旭 made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilberto Boone was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The throw-in from Donovan Nash in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Diablos Rojos's Rene Sampedro. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Varennes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Thomás Vollmar was slow to take the kick. During this time Diablos Rojos's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Thomás Vollmar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gilberto Boone quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Vidal in the 57th minute of play forced Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Varennes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Théophile Berger in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by 唐沙旭 in the 84th minute of play forced Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remus Pinches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Titus Pineda, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. A well done corner resulted in Wendell Petit drilling the ball in to score 4-1 behind Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Diablos Rojos had won after a very even match.
