Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcos Lopez started the match with the kick off. Andrézinho Vaz took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rene Austin. Rene Austin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Laércio Penha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rene Austin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Gildo Cordeiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Mickaël Maris when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Carolo Cambranes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Rene Austin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonello Anzolin made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Célio Queirós. The supporters of Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heitor Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rene Austin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laércio Penha went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Rene Austin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Penha in the 39th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Laércio Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Austin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Laércio Penha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rene Austin. Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laércio Penha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Luiz Fábio de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nova Iguaçu MZFC were winning 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laércio Penha to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Laércio Penha put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Rene Austin. Laércio Penha took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rene Austin. Rene Austin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. In the 68th minute, Laércio Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's Bai Zhen Kang was substituted for Murilo Cerqueira. Andrézinho Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Rene Austin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laércio Penha went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. In the 77th minute Marcos Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickaël Maris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Laércio Penha in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. It was a well-played corner which Andrézinho Vaz managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 93 minutes into the match, Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Penha came free, but Rene Austin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Nova Iguaçu MZFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ throughout the match.
