The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucio Galo got free with Daniel Grønningsæter in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7th match minute, Areco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Abaunza to maneuver through the defense. Areco FC's Gabriel Urtats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James Feldthaus in the 8th minute of play. FC Pladask were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Areco FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kjetil-André Grønseth took the corner. In the 14thth minute of the game Trond Soltveit who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Areco FC's Gabriel Urtats was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gabriel Urtats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trond Soltveit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Urtats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovanni Domingues in the 21st minute of the match. A hard shot 22 in the game by Lucio Galo from a close distance when the talented Daniel Grønningsæter managed to make a qualified save. FC Pladask's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karsten Ludvigsen in the 26th minute of play forced Areco FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Urtats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karsten Ludvigsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Daniel Grønningsæter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Abaunza, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd match minute, Areco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tor Kämpe to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Areco FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Venancio Sendoa hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Areco FC's zone, Kjetil-André Grønseth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Urtats came out of the goal and Kjetil-André Grønseth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. James Feldthaus took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Urtats. Gabriel Urtats dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.

FC Pladask's Millard Mitchell suffered a concussion after 52 minutes and had to leave the field. After 52 minutes, Agustin Abaunza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Areco FC and the FC Pladask players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC Pladask's Nils-Johan Hagberg was substituted for Millard Mitchell. Agustin Abaunza hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Gabriel Urtats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni Domingues in the 56th minute of play. After 58 played minutes FC Pladask got a freekick which was hit by Gene Kelly. Daniel Grønningsæter had in the 61stth minute some difficulties stopping Nói Ado's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Daniel Grønningsæter came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Areco FC's Nói Ado. But to his dismay, Nói Ado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 63rd minute, Giovanni Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Pladask's Daniel Grønningsæter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Sendoa in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Pladask's Giovanni Domingues got a free kick in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Pladask's zone, Zeledon Sol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Grønningsæter came out of the goal and Zeledon Sol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 84 minutes of play, FC Pladask's Karsten Ludvigsen made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Urtats was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Trond Soltveit in the 89th minute of play forced Areco FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trond Soltveits short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Gabriel Urtats to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Giovanni Domingues's late challenge caught a Areco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giovanni Domingues helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st minute, Giovanni Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gabriel Urtats came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Pladask's Giovanni Domingues. But to his dismay, Giovanni Domingues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Pladask eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
