Nevşehirspor's Angelo Di Livio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by He Jing, made in the 2nd minute of the game. Cipriano Proença blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jo Øverås having to make a save. Jo Øverås took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gianluca Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Bonet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Nevşehirspor's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Bonet came free, but Gianluca Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Daustad's Are Rygg got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 19 played minutes Nevşehirspor got a freekick which was hit by Bror Kent. Gianluca Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Bonet in the 22nd minute of the match. It was a well-played corner which Are Rygg managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 25th minute Cipriano Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jo Øverås saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Luis Bonet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gianluca Buffon. Nevşehirspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Bonet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 30th minute, Luis Bonet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Daustad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Luis Bonet received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gianluca Buffon came out and tried to block the shot, but Luis Bonet slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 37th minute. Gianluca Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Bonet in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Bror Kent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Daustad booed when Nevşehirspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bror Kent didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luis Bonet to make the kick off. Daustad's Jo Øverås played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Åberg in the 52nd minute of play. Gianluca Buffon came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Daustad's Luis Bonet. But to his dismay, Luis Bonet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Nevşehirspor's Angelo Di Livio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by He Jing in the 56 minute of the game. Daustad's Jo Øverås played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Åberg in the 57th minute of play. In the 60thth minute of the game Luis Bonet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nevşehirspor's Gianluca Buffon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nevşehirspor made a substitution. Hami Tuğaltay replaced Bror Kent. Luis Bonet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nevşehirspor's Gianluca Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Bonet in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ragnar Åberg in the 70th minute of play forced Daustad's goalkeeper Jo Øverås to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nevşehirspor's Gianluca Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Bonet in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Are Rygg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Daustad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nevşehirspor the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Bonet in the 88th minute of play forced Nevşehirspor's goalkeeper Gianluca Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Daustad were awarded a corner. Mats Bentsen went to the cornerflag to take it. Peng Song Ting kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Nevşehirspor's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Bonet came free, but Gianluca Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from He Jing in the 96th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Nevşehirspor's Angelo Di Livio. Nevşehirspor's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
