Rangel Parashkevov was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Devils's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on FC Devils's corner Rangel Parashkevov fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rahim Kornes quite easily take care of the ball. Artur Boruc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Negro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artur Boruc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Song Wei Yun, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Dariusz Brysz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Rahim Kornes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 41 minutes into the game, Edmundo Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seraċini Għawdxin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Devils the free kick. Edmundo Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Rahim Kornes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Seraċini Għawdxin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Seraċini Għawdxin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
