Nico Tasso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Neil Degabriele fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seraċini Għawdxin's protests and gave Neil Degabriele a yellow card for diving instead. Fabinho Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rahim Kornes having to interfere. Nico Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Song Wei Yun's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Nico Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Song Wei Yun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Seraċini Għawdxin's Song Wei Yun got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nico Tasso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Song Wei Yun went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Song Wei Yun was the one to do the kick off. The Seraċini Għawdxin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Seraċini Għawdxin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
