An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Bati in the 19th minute of play forced Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Ahlqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Hitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Hitz in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Sabóia saved Saiko FC from getting behind. In the 30thth minute of the game Gabriel Bati who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Black Rose 1979's Karl-Johan Ahlqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Saiko FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir Garcia to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Saiko FC's zone, Gerardo Hitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Sabóia came out of the goal and Gerardo Hitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Black Rose 1979 booed when Saiko FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseu Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Enekoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Gerardo Hitz made a precise shot to the right of Zé Sabóia. Saiko FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Black Rose 1979's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
