In the 4th minute, Chico de Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jovens Democratas MZC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Juan Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Oranil defense, Chico de Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Velloso. The Oranil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Velloso should have stopped the shot. 13 minutes into the game, Chico de Sousa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Juan Velloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Chico de Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan Velloso was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Oranil defense, Chico de Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Velloso. The Oranil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Velloso should have stopped the shot. Chico de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico de Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Chico de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chico de Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chico de Sousa in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Velloso saved Oranil from getting behind. 34 minutes into the game, Carlos Fernando Proença was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oranil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jovens Democratas MZC the free kick. Carlos Fernando Proença hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Kiko Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kiko Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Xu Li Sang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Velloso having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Jovens Democratas MZC's Chico de Sousa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Velloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Chico de Sousa sped through Oranil's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juan Velloso. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chico de Sousa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Oranil's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Chico de Sousa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chico de Sousa got free with Juan Velloso in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute, Chico de Sousa made a precise shot to the right of Juan Velloso. Oranil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Giovani Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Xu Li Sang recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juan Velloso. Xu Li Sang showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. The crowd rose to their feet as Jovens Democratas MZC's Chico de Sousa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juan Velloso. That made the score 0-9 after 62 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Oranil's Carlos Fernando Proença got a free kick in the 64th minute. The attack was good, but when Chico de Sousa in the 65th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Jovens Democratas MZC's Dominik Szoboszlai was substituted for David Puyol. Serginho Sabóia hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the game, Serginho Sabóia lined in a short shot 0-10 behind a frustrated Juan Velloso. Xu Li Sang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Serginho Sabóia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Juan Velloso made a huge save. The Jovens Democratas MZC fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Jovens Democratas MZC's Serginho Sabóia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-12 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when Oranil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmílson Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xu Li Sang took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Velloso. Juan Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-13. When Serginho Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Jovens Democratas MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serginho Sabóia couldn't finish the play. Jovens Democratas MZC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
