The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cemal Metin made in the 5th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Hong Xing Yang immediately put the ball in play. Jos Van Hinnendael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yves Passot in the 11th minute. Yves Passot scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jos Van Hinnendael, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Montevideo City Torque's Christophe Troxler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ábel Zarka in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute Vencel Pápai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christophe Troxler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Nagyváradi AC's Jos Van Hinnendael got control of the ball when Yves Passot tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ákos Szél kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute Ákos Szél shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christophe Troxler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Leizaur couldn't finish the play. Jos Van Hinnendael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yves Passot in the 31st minute of the match. Christophe Troxler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vencel Pápai, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd match minute, Nagyváradi AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cemal Metin to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, Nagyváradi AC's goalkeeper Jos Van Hinnendael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yves Passot. Yves Passot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jos Van Hinnendael having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Yves Passot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jos Van Hinnendael was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Jos Van Hinnendael was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Ticho Covarrubias capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ticho Covarrubias really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jedrzej Kasprzak made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Christophe Troxler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 53 minutes into the match, Nagyváradi AC's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Passot came free, but Jos Van Hinnendael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Nagyváradi AC's Christophe Troxler threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vencel Pápai, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 62 played minutes, Montevideo City Torque's Cristian Leizaur shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jos Van Hinnendael came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montevideo City Torque reached it. Christophe Troxler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ákos Szél in the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 91 minutes, Agustín Álvarez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montevideo City Torque's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Álvarez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ákos Szél had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ábel Zarka in the 95th minute of play forced Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Christophe Troxler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nagyváradi AC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
