An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezmi Gök in the 3rd minute of play forced Monitor Huáscar's goalkeeper Apostol Sokolov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 6 minutes, Paulo Fallabes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monitor Huáscar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Fallabes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th match minute, MarineerS FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derviş Akçınar to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Galván's late challenge caught a MarineerS FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Galván helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Monitor Huáscar's Carlos Galván got a free kick in the 11th minute. Cezmi Gök could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Apostol Sokolov made a huge save. After 18 played minutes MarineerS FK got a freekick which was hit by Derviş Akçınar. MarineerS FK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kıvanç Balyemez in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute Claudio Quiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Leicea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by MarineerS FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Modestio Cañucal was slow to take the kick. During this time Monitor Huáscar's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Modestio Cañucal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arnoldo Leicea quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jeffrey Van Craesbeeck hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Arnoldo Leicea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Quiroga in the 44th minute of play. Arnoldo Leicea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Quiroga in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th match minute, Monitor Huáscar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeffrey Van Craesbeeck to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudio Quiroga made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Claudio Quiroga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnoldo Leicea was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Mecnun Seha scored 1-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Apostol Sokolov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Monitor Huáscar's Bernardinho Bala was substituted for Artemio Varas. Monitor Huáscar made a substitution. Lin Jing Peng replaced Paulo Fallabes. MarineerS FK's Žydrūnas Pauža was substituted for Cezmi Gök. Apostol Sokolov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Rydberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 65 minutes into the match, Monitor Huáscar's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Rydberg came free, but Apostol Sokolov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to MarineerS FK getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Derviş Akçınar hit a great ball. With a little luck, MarineerS FK's Arnoldo Leicea got control of the ball when Claudio Quiroga tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Monitor Huáscar's Claudio Quiroga in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MarineerS FK's goalie prevented a goal. The corner led Monitor Huáscar's Jeffrey Van Craesbeeck to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnoldo Leicea despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 77 minutes of play, Monitor Huáscar's Jeffrey Van Craesbeeck made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnoldo Leicea was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 79 played minutes Monitor Huáscar got a freekick which was hit by Aulis Salomaa. Claudio Quiroga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnoldo Leicea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Claudio Quiroga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Arnoldo Leicea made a huge save. The MarineerS FK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Monitor Huáscar's performance. The match ended with a win for Monitor Huáscar.
