Leonardo Da Vinci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jérémy Doku, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute, Jarno Depelsmaker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute Hernán Restat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ball Packert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FERRABARCA FC's Ron Tobbackers quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Willy Smidts, made in the 29th minute of the game. Geraldo Salcines hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ndingi Mwana'a Tchokhonelidze managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ulan Bator Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Ndingi Mwana'a Tchokhonelidze was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Da Vinci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ulan Bator Football Club's goalkeeper Ball Packert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
